Tomorrow's Dying Village (Naalai Irandhuporum Oor)

A Tamil psychological mystery by Srijoo

Every night at midnight, the temple bell of Karuvelampalayam rings twelve times with no one touching it. Then a voice speaks, a blend of the villagers' own voices, and tells them what will happen tomorrow. In twenty-one years, it has never been wrong.

Nineteen-year-old Kathir returns to the village after three years away, carrying a lie that has haunted him since his little sister drowned. Within days, the bell predicts a death, and then one night it announces that the whole village will be gone by six the next morning. With only hours left, Kathir must find out who or what is behind the bell, and whether it foretells the future or creates it.

Blending psychological suspense, supernatural dread and science fiction, this novella is told in Kongu-flavoured Tamil. It asks one haunting question: when you hear a warning, do you fight it or fulfil it?

If you want, I can write a shorter one-line tagline for the cover or a Tamil version of this description too.
