The Silence

THE SILENCE by Joel Rifkin

Ilse Marrow restores the voices of the dead, but she can’t recover her own past. Twenty-three years after her brother drowned on a stormy night, she returns to the silent seaside town of Saltmere and finds a tape waiting in her late mother’s kitchen. The voice on it promises the truth about what happened, and says it isn’t what she was told.

A psychological thriller about memory, manipulation, and the stories families tell to survive.
