What the Cliffs Keep

What the Cliffs Keep

$2

In Lull Point, the cliffs keep every word spoken toward the land. People catch the echoes in glass jars, but every time an echo is played, it grows a little thinner.

Eleven-year-old Tamsin Quill has played her brother's goodbye forty-one evenings in a row, and there are only a few plays left. When Bram, a fast-talking echo-fisher's apprentice, offers to "patch" the jar with spare echoes from the Whisper Caves, Tamsin says nothing, even though she knows he's fibbing. Then the tide comes in early. Tamsin has to decide what she owes the echoes, and what she owes the people she's holding on to.

A gentle, lyrical fantasy about grief, honesty, friendship and learning to let go. It includes a note to readers, character profiles and a glossary of Lull Point words.
