Jasmine After Rain: A Monsoon Love Story

Meera has everything a successful architect should want: awards, deadlines, and a life that never stops long enough for her to feel anything. When her grandmother dies, she travels to Pondicherry for one reason: to sell the old family house on Mission Street to a luxury hotel chain.

Then she meets Aravind, the quiet, stubborn carpenter next door who made her grandmother coffee every morning and promised to mend her broken wooden swing.

During a monsoon power cut, they find a rusted tin box full of secret love letters written in 1968 by a mysterious “S.” As they uncover her grandmother’s lost love story, Meera and Aravind begin writing one of their own: long talks on the sea front, a stormy kiss on the rooftop, and a night neither of them will forget.

But when Meera finds a hidden file in her grandmother’s desk, everything she believes about Aravind is shaken. One last letter from her grandmother will force her to choose between a safe life and a brave heart.

Jasmine After Rain is a warm, sensual and emotional novella about second chances, old houses and family secrets, and about loving someone before it’s too late.
